HAH! 40 years ‘in a nutshell’? That’s a joke, right? 🙂 Ok, in no particular order, here’s the nutshell: 2 kids (currently 33 and 16 years old), 1 granddaughter ( 6 yrs.) and 2nd due in June. Divorced (YEARS ago!), currently single. Began college at UW Eau Claire for 2 years as music major, left to go to school in London, came back and started working at American Players Theatre before marriage and birth of first child. After divorce went back to school at UWM and got B.S. Psych. Didn’t use that degree. Spent most of my adulthood living an unconventional and interesting life in the performing arts as singer/actor and single mom (my most favorite job of all!) Acting jobs included AFT in Door County for some years, Skylight Opera Theatre, Theatre X, American Children’s Theatre, Tesseract, Theatre Gigante, Windfall Theatre. Sang for many years with John Schneider Orchestra (jazz/standards). Food service director for a large adult care facility for a handful of years. Did a lot of waitressing/temping/catering in the early years of performing. Trained to be a Waldorf teacher, work teaching early childhood periodically. Own some rental properties. Hobbies include horses, foraging, wildcrafting, fermenting, gardening, hiking, antiques, enjoy hearing live music (esp. bluegrass and roots), travel and outdoor adventures. I’ve traveled to Europe several times, around this country, and around our state. My son and I were Civil War reenactors for many years. Currently landlord, commercial actor, singing for fun. Living currently /temporarily in house I grew up in on Lower Nashotah (after mom died), until we sell it. Still love to laugh, sing, and see new places. That’s the nutshell!
