Okay, Okay, Okay, I was given a hard time at our last class re-union, thanks Fred, for my career and life in general keeping me close to Oconomowoc. Funny how life works but for the last three years my husband and I have been in the Savannah area, when an unexpected professional opportunity for him presented itself. The historic district can’t be more beautiful and I never get tired of visiting. Had to trade a fish fry in for shrimp and grits! I have found myself tending to be rather private shying away from social media over the years but not so much so that I did find out rather quickly about the loss of Kim. Karen Martinson, who continues to be a very close friend, let me know immediately enabling me to get back to Wisconsin for that very sad day. I will skip chatting about my career in favor of things that have brought joy to me. I have always been blessed with the most amazing friends beginning with Ann Novotny in Kindergarten and Jerry Hazzard in 7th grade and the list goes on with the most recent being a 75 year old Southern Belle. Animals are my passion having recued 17 cats, keeping the ‘losers’, adopting an elderly Huskey as well as the neighbor’s rescue Pit Bull, who showed up days after my arrival in Georgia. Amazing how the most destitute critters can forget their past and require the finest food and a preference for lounging pool-side! I have the vet, food and paraphernalia bills over the years that could qualify me as the crazy cat lady. HAWS and the folks there in Waukesha helped me in Wisconsin and continue to support me down here, and that includes transporting my crew to their new home in the South. They are the best! I come back to Wisconsin on occasion having run into some of you on a regular basis. Makes me miss home but the plans are to retire permanently back in Oconomowoc and I will see you all at the next class reunion!
