My family story is being there with and for my Mom. It gave me an inside view of health, critical/fragile health, and the spirit that accompanies the journey. It’s without a doubt one of the best decisions I’ve made… to have that be a priority. Never married. Lots of kids though… students, and extended family.
Professionally, music has remained a central focus. You’ll find my recordings on zmusicintl.com, YouTube.com and on most digital music sites, both for orchestral conducting and violin. I’ve hosted the Chatfield Award videos, which are given to people from the greater Oconomowoc Community, who have given of themselves and impacted our area. They have guests and are pretty entertaining. You’ll find them at oconchamberorch.org on the Outreach page and on YouTube.com.

Fanfare for Lake Country was written for us… our area. First orchestrally, and then short, medium and long instrumental arrangements for all instruments were composed and published. Also, they were recorded… albeit on a Stradivarius violin and that recording is also available now. Info at zmusicintl.com. There is a pdf ‘The Story of Fanfare’. It tells the story and lists the 4 lakes on the CD jacket. Videos featuring our area will be out in the months to come. What we’re working on now.. with the Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra, is a series that musically depicts our lakes and landmarks. Entitled ‘Lake Tones, Legends & Landscapes’, 7 movements were done in 2012, 4 more in May. There are videos with area lakes and landmarks that will be available at YouTube shortly, and the OCO Debut Concert DVD, which has the original 7, is available at Jewelry Mechanic on Hwy P and White House of Music in Waukesha. Wait until you see them… the last four are a hoot… those are due out in about a month. www.oconchamberorch.org. I’m producing them and did a good amount of the photography and video work. Tom Trubenbach, our school’s photographer, was on hand to both photograph the OCO and then enabled excursions on his fishing boat on Okauchee and Upper Oconomowoc lakes! Tom owned Town & Country Studio across from the city beach, where many of us had our school photos done. BTW – he took me to a Watertown Football game to show me the ropes of sports photography years ago. Hat’s off to Tom!!!

One other project with a former teacher is my Hradec Kralove Concert video. After he retired from teaching English, Tom assumed the role of digital technology coach. He learned video editing, and we worked nearly through the night on two occasions to complete orchestral conducting videos to meet deadlines. This is the link to it. It was filmed in Prague, and the video had to be converted to US parameters…

I enjoy the outdoors, swimming, culinary adventure and wellness. I’ve taught classes and outreach in various realms of nutrition, therapeutic oils, and other
modalities… but most importantly, enjoying sharing options for folks. My father immigrated from France, and there is family over there… so that’s a nice port of call, and I’ve traveled a good bit. But all said and done, we’re really fortunate to have Oconomowoc in our beings. Pretty neat place.

Take care all!
